Why Google Analytics and Yeesshh (myDSP/DSP) Data May Differ Temporarily

If you notice a discrepancy between the traffic statistics shown in DSP or myDSP account and those displayed in Google Analytics, especially in real-time, don’t worry — this is completely normal. Here’s why this happens, and when to trust the data.

Temporary Differences Are Normal

Google Analytics may temporarily show different results compared to Yeesshh platform. This is especially noticeable when viewing real-time data. After 24 hours, however, Google typically recalculates and aligns its stats, and the numbers become consistent with ours.

This delay is often due to the redirect chains used in pop traffic. During this short window, you may see:

  • Unusual traffic volumes

  • Unexpected geolocations

  • Apparent data inconsistencies

These issues usually resolve themselves the following day.

Discrepancy #1: You See No Impressions in Google Analytics

If you see no traffic in Google Analytics at all, the most likely cause is a URL mismatch. Double-check that the URL you're tracking in Google Analytics is exactly the same as the one used in our platform.

Discrepancy #2: You See Fewer Impressions Than Expected

If Google Analytics shows fewer impressions than expected, it could be due to the placement of your tracking tag on the landing page.

Yeesshh sends pop traffic, where users land on your site without clicking. This often results in:

  • Very high bounce rates

  • Users closing the tab before the page fully loads

If your Google Analytics tag is placed at the bottom of the page, it may never load — especially on slower websites. For accurate tracking, we recommend placing your tag as high as possible in the HTML, ideally in the <head> section.

Discrepancy #3: Different Countries in Real-Time Geolocation Stats

You may notice countries you didn’t target showing up in Google Analytics' real-time reports. This is also due to the redirect behavior in pop traffic, and the way Google collects data in real-time.

This usually corrects itself within 24 hours, once Google finalizes the data. You’ll then see traffic coming from your intended geographies.

Summary

If you're seeing mismatches between Google Analytics and Yeesshh data:

  • Don’t panic — check again after 24 hours.

  • Ensure URLs match exactly.

  • Place your analytics tag early in the page load.

  • Expect temporary anomalies in real-time geolocation data.

Our platform is optimized for high-volume pop traffic, and Google Analytics often needs time to reconcile this with its own data collection process.
