myDSP – What Are the High Intent Traffic Types?

Understand the traffic sources available in High Intent and Mid Intent campaigns

What Is High Intent Traffic in myDSP?

When setting up a High Intent campaign in myDSP, you can select one or more traffic types based on user behavior and source.

This traffic-type selection does not apply to Pop or Mid Intent campaigns, where all sources are included automatically.

Traffic type options:

  • Apps and Plugins

    • Ads delivered via Browser extensions or apps (Desktop or mobile)

    • Promotional formats may include: Coupons, Product listings (PLAs),Native ad units

    • Does not really refflects the intention of the user, but more the context in which adv is placed
  • BNPL – Buy Now, Pay Later

    • This traffic often reflects high commercial intent.
    • Sourced from platforms like Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm
    • Users may arrive via BNPL apps or articles comparing BNPL-supported products
  • Blog & Intex

    • Blog: Content articles on affiliate or review sites linking to merchants

    • In-Text: Keywords in articles (e.g., Dyson, vacuum cleaner) are clickable and trigger an ad popup

  • Coupon

    • This traffic often reflects high commercial intent.
    • Sourced via Coupon aggregators, Extensions, Native placements

  • Domain Redirect

    • Traffic generated from parked or typo-corrected domains

    • Example: user types “ebya.com” and is redirected to a live merchant offer

  • PLA – Product Listing Ads

    • Ads showing Product image + Name Price and links directly to a product page

    • Similar to Google Shopping, but also available via affiliate sources

  • Search

    • Traffic comes from Organic or paid search engine results or Autocomplete suggestions

    • Often associated with purchase-ready intent

  • Tiles

    • Visual ad blocks containing Image, Headline, Short description

    • Not tied to individual products like PLAs

    • May direct users to homepages, content hubs, or product categories

    • Common in native ad environments
